Soroptimist International of AshlandOregon, is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., a global volunteer organization that provides resources and opportunities for women and girls to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

We meet at noon on the first through fourth Wednesdays of each month from September through June at Puerta Mazatlan, 1209 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, and invite anyone with an interest in improving the lives of women and girls to join us.

We fulfill a major part of our goal of investing in the dreams of women and girls by awarding grants and scholarships to individuals and organizations in our community.

Live Your Dream Awards allow women to support their families while completing training or a degree program

Soroptimist Strong Girls Strong Women

Our signature project is Strong Girls, Strong Women (SGSW). This program, in partnership with Helman Elementary School, is designed to develop leadership and confidence in academic strengths in Math and Science for girls K-5 by strengthening self-esteem and problem solving ability.

You will also find Soroptimists cleaning up local roads, helping children shop for school clothes, and assisting with other projects that benefit our community.

We do good things, and we also have fun, like the Applegate winery tour group pictured above.

Join us at one of our casual weekly lunch meetings to get acquainted with us and our activities, and hear one of our interesting speakers.

As a member, you will meet and socialize with other people with common goals, participate in fun and rewarding projects, and help us choose how funds are spent to benefit women and girls.
