Help Us Help
Income from Soroptimist International of Ashland’s signature fundraiser, the pillow and blanket rental booth at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Allen Elizabethan Theater, has significantly decreased these past few years due to wildfires and COVID-19. In response, we've diversified our fundraising activities. Here are some ways you can help us continue to serve girls and women in our community and around the world.
Cushion your tush at OSF
If you love attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theater, you are not alone. While enjoying the play, you can keep yourself comfy and warm in those nice waterproof molded plastic seats with a pillow and blanket rented from the SI-A Pillow Booth. For just $3.00 each per performance, you've got the ultimate win-win. You're comfortable, and we're able to fund our scholarship and grant programs.
NOTE: The Pillow Booth is open for business, rain or shine, even if the concession stand is closed.
Save your bottles and cans
Do you have empty 10 cent deposit bottles and cans that you would like to put to good use? We'll take them and turn them into cash for our scholarship and grant programs. Drop them by one of our monthly collections on the second Saturday of each month, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 500 Parkside Drive, Ashland.
Upcoming dates: Mar. 11, Apr. 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sep. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, and Dec. 9, 2023.
Please be sure that your bottles and cans are clean and eligible for refund in Oregon. Under current Oregon law, people pay a 10-cent container deposit when they buy beverage containers three liters or less in size, except distilled liquor, wine, dairy or plant-based milk, and infant formula. Thanks!
